Giovanni Gilli

Presently Chairman of Intrum Italy, joint venture between Intrum Group and Intesa Sanpaolo in the field of Non-Performing Loans servicing, has covered several managerial and entrepreneurial roles in the financial, industrial and consultancy sectors. In particular, he managed from 2002 to 2013 all the major extraordinary strategic transactions for the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, led the commercial Division in charge of the management of the non-core assets of the same Group, conducted a successful LBO in the field of ceramic tiles.

Esperienza professionale ed accademica

  • He is currently:

  • Chairman of Intrum Italy, among the domestic leaders in the NPL servicing sector with over 40 bill. of Asset Under Management and nearly 1000 headcount
  • Board Member of Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR (FII)

He has been:

  • Head of Capital Light Bank, the business Division of Intesa Sanpaolo Group entrusted with the mission of managing the deleverage of a 50 bill. portfolio of non-core assets
  • Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PBZ (the Croatian subsidiary of the ISP Group)
  • Head of the ISP Corporate Development, with more than 50 transactions accomplished, among which the landmark merger between Intesa and Sanpaolo Groups
  • General Manager and main investor of Gabbianelli srl, in a Leverage Buy-Out deal aimed at the creation of a leading market player in the field of high-end ceramic tiles
  • Senior Manager at Mc Kinsey & co. within the Financial Institutions team
